The Rink Episode 47: Opening Around the Corner

It’s the 47th Episode of The Rink, almost a year of the show in the bag (I had to skip a few weeks over the summer, and yet I still have 55 episodes with the specials and the like). Tom and I talk about Theo Fleury, the start of the season, and if DirecTV is actually making things better for it’s hockey loving customers. Plus… a whole lot more.

The Rink Episode 46: Return of Tom

With the summer over, Tom Luongo makes his glorious return from off season hibernation, and has a few things on his mind.  We talk about preseason hits, The Great One becoming the missing one, and the NHLPA. Plus a whole lot more.

As promised, here is the Milwaukee Admirals 3rd jersey. If it weren’t a RBK EDGE jersey, I would buy one in a heartbeat.

A quick note about the production: Thanks to the great state of Alaska, there is no good internet to be found. I can’t stream anything, I can’t use Skype, nothing. Tom and I had to talk on our cellphones, and record the audio of our mics separately. So if things sound strange, it’s because we weren’t using our normal recording process.

The Rink Episode 45 – Tweetcast

I decided I wanted to do something a little different, and on the spur of the moment, I asked people who follow me on twitter if they had anything to say.  What did people want to talk about in five minutes on the podcast. I got a few responses, and had a great time doing it.  And believe me, we will be doing it again. From Columbus to Colorado, we had a great time.

The Rink Episode 44: All Things Russian

I am honored to be joined by Dmitry Chesnokov, best known in North America for his interviews and writing on Puck Daddy.  Dmitry is what I consider the the King of Russian hockey, and is here to remind me of how little I really know about the KHL, Russian players and the hockey culture of Russia.

The Rink Episode 43: Scotty Wazz

Scott Wasilewski joins me in Tapeleg Studios for a podcast session that is at times serious, at times funny, and at times, I have no idea.  We talk about the Senators and who is in goal, the Coyotes and their circus, Patrick Kane, and a host of other topics. I had a great time recording this, I hope you have a great time listening.

The Rink Episode 42: Eddie from Puck Podcast

This week, I’m honored to have as a guest Eddie Garcia from Puck Podcast on the show.  Eddie has one of the most professional sounding podcasts out there, and I’m happy he agreed to come on The Rink.

You can find Puck Podcast here.

The Rink Episode 41

This week, we get to talk about my favorite team, the Colorado Avalanche.  I’m joined by Jay Vean who produces the Avs Hockey Podcast. We talk about the Sakic retirement, look at some of the players, and try not to dwell too much on this past season.

The Rink Episode 40

It took a little while to get this one in the can, but it’s finished. Tom and I talk about free agency, a little about the draft, and we have a few things to say about the retirement of Joe Sakic.

The draft is fast approaching, and Tom is excited.  I am too, but there is plenty to talk about, and we get to it.  Bouwmeester, the awards, and where will old man Cheli play next year?

The Rink Episode 38

I’m flying solo this week, and that means I get to talk about what I want to.  The Stanley Cup has been handed out and the season is over, but there is still plenty of news in the NHL and around the minor leagues.

Call in to The Rink and let us know how your season went. Were you happy?  Were you dissapointed? Did you get Versus on your hotel TV? Call The Rink at 845-704-RINK (7465).
