I always thought it was silly how people were -so- disappointed to get the silver medal in the Olympics. Yes, of course you want the gold, but come on…it’s an honor to even be good enough to be in the Olympics, second place is pretty awesome!

Rufus – With regards to Wolski, the past few seasons, we have seen him benched for being less than motivated on the ice. He usually gets the message for a little while, then forgets again (think of the movie Fight Club, when the club owner is beating up Tyler Durden, and Durden keeps saying he isn’t getting it). If the cycle is broken, I think all would be forgiven.

James – appreciate the effort. Also, it was strange to hear the Av fan was not happy with Wolski. Is that a common opinion in Denver? I have Wolski in my hockey pool and I can’t complain about a point per game guy.

I just watched the goal replay on NHL.com. That looked like a goal to me. Under the crossbar, hit the netting, bounced down. We’ve seen those before, it’s nothing new. Callahan scoring may be new, but not that type of goal. Plus, if it had hit a crossbar, we would have heard it. You could hear every stride on that ice surface, you would have heard a crossbar.

And if Ryan Miller wasn’t complaining about it – and he loves to complain – then it was probably a goal.

Talk about NHL business and you should take a business 101 class, turn it into a 4 year undergraduate degree, get good marks and go on to an MBA degree. Graduate and look back at what you’ve said about starting a new league VS the NHL etc. etc. and you will see how silly you sound …
