Voice Over for Hockey Podcasters

Here is an offer for the hockey podcasters.  If you have a podcast, and want me to record an intro or outro voice over, or a promo or two for your podcast, I’ll do it for free.

Free, seriously.

All you have to do is send me some text for your show, and I will record it.  I’ll send you an .mp3 or .wav file of my voice, and you can use it in your show, wherever or however you want.  If you want to mix it with some other audio, use a snippet, or just use it raw, it’s yours to use, free of charge, for however long you want.

Why?

Podcasting isn’t like radio where we try and take as many ears away from the other shows.  If it weren’t for the podcasting and blogging community, no one would know about or listen to my show.  There are many great hockey podcasts out there, and this is a way of helping out other shows.

And isn’t it just fun to have another voice on your show?  It mixes things up a little, and sounds a little more interesting.  It can be fun to have something different play on your show.

This also gives me a little more experience in recording and working with voice overs.  I’m not a professional voice actor, so this is a way for me to learn more and have the work not go to waste (giving back isn’t a waste).

What I will and won’t do.

- Profanity? Yes.

- Insanity? Yes.

- Direct attacks on other people? No.

- Really nice things about the Red Wings? No. (Hey, I’m still a fan)

The catch?

I can’t think of one.  If you don’t like the sound of my voice, then this probably isn’t for you.   You don’t even have to give me credit for it.  It’s just a fun way of getting involved with other podcasters.

What do you do?

Hit me up in the contact sheet, and let me know what you are interested in.  You write something for me to record, and I will record it for you (know that I have a real life job, and may have to take a few days before I can do the recording. Sorry, but it is free, so there is that). Also, include any pronunciations that you think appropriate (especially names).
